Monday before the big trip

We were pretty productive this past weekend. All of our clothes, except for mine of course, are packed and ready to go. It is to hard for me to pack when I am helping everyone else pack. There are suitcases all over our house! We had a little family meeting too. It was the, we are all in this together so we have to get along, speech. :) Gotta love teenagers.
I have been trying to pay off the RV Rental for what seems like months now. Did you know that banks have a limit to the amount of money that can be debited from your account per day? I didn't and I guess our balance is more than the limit. BUT, I can't believe they have waited this long to let us know...it is a wonder they stay in business. Anyway, I just got all of that taken care of and now we just wait until Thursday morning, bright and early when we head to NC to pick up the Recreational Vehicle, as Jordan, Megan's friend, calls it!

Two weeks and counting down.....

We just signed up for the Good Sam program. It is the AAA for RV'ers. :) The good thing is that there is an 800 number that will help with any "technical" questions...worth the $100 bucks we paid for it. I asked the lady on the phone to warn the tech support people and to let them know that they would be earning their pay from July 1-21. She just laughed at me and said, "you will be just fine". We shall see.
Thanks so much to everyone for the well wishes for our trip. It is going to be 3 weeks to remember.

Getting Ready.....

We have had a stressful couple of weeks. We found out that the company that we reserved our RV through is no longer doing business with our booking agents. It took us a while, but we have now secured a new RV. The good news is that it is the bus type, and that is what Momma wanted in the first place...to combat her claustrophobia. The other good news is that it is here in Columbia and we don't have to drive to NC to pick it up. The bad news it that it is more expensive....but you can't take it with you and this is a once in a lifetime trip so we are going for it!!

This is the first of many pictures of our RV!
Look, Matt even has his own door.
Check out those BIG windows!
